Goal setting
Setting goals helps you achieve anything
View the Goals Presentation here, then create a SMART reading or writing goal for the second quarter; be sure the goal has two or more "stepping stones."
You can also learn more about SMART goals at this web site.
Write your goal and its steps in your notebook/binder and/or type it onto your Barnesclass.com web site.
You can even create a My Goals page and link it to your home page, if you wish.
Sample SMART goal
I will read one nonfiction and one fiction book in the second quarter, both unrelated to school work.
- Step one: On Thursday, I'll go to the library and select one of the books.
- Step two: I will read after dinner four nights weekly.
- Step three: When I finish the first book, I'll return it to the library and select my second book.
- Step four: I will read after dinner four nights weekly.
