INSERT
The MAX strategy, INSERT, is used to "pull a reader" into a selection by getting the reader to consider specific points of interest and to insert labels near sections of interest or where there is a question.
INSERT can also be used to label things a teacher asks students to locate, such as story elements or figurative language.
Review this page for a visual of the INSERT strategy.
Complete your first INSERT activity on the story Tell Tale Heart, linked here.
