Attach a PowerPoint or any other document to any page on your web site.

  • Go to edit and click on the word "attachments" on the left side edit menu.
  • Then, beneath where it says "select one or more files," click "Browse."
  • Locate the PowerPoint or other file where it is saved on your computer or flash drive.
  • In the box next to "Description:" name your document; for example, Novel project storyboard.
  • Under the Browse box, click the little box next to "list file(s) on the page.
  • Click "Upload."
  • When it's finished, the boxes will go blank again, and you'll see your attached file on the edit page.
  • Click "Exit" in the upper right corner. You'll see your attached file at the bottom of your page.

Create a new page and link on your web site

  • Go to your private home page and click edit.
  • Type the name of the link for your new page -- not the page name itself. For example, my RAY project
  • Select/highlight the link name.
  • Click the chain link icon under font family.
  • When the pop-up box appears, type the name of you new page into the Link URL field
    • IMPORTANT: what you type into the Link URL field must be your last name, your first name and the page name with no spaces or other characters.
    • For example, my RAY page would look like this: barnesmarkRAY
  • Click insert
  • Save and close your page
  • Click the new link
  • Click create page
  • You are ready to use your new page

Pictures/adding to a page.

  • Find your picture
  • Right click on it
  • Copy it
  • Paste it directly into your web page

Or. . .

  • Right click on your picture
  • Go to the properties tab on the bottom of the dropdown menu
  • Copy all of the pictures web address
  • Click the insert/edit image icon on your web page
  • Paste in the image URL and click insert

Slide show -- how to attach photos and create a slide show to any page on  your web site

  • Pictures must be attached to your page -- not pasted into it, in order to create a slide show.
  • To attach a picture, save it to your home computer, a flash drive or your folder at school.
  • Go to edit and click on attachments.
  • Upload each image file one at a time.
  • NOTE: good slide shows should have no less than 3 images.
  • In the description, write a detailed caption for each image; this will appear on your slide show.
  • Go to Content (upper left side of edit menu)
  • Where you want the slide show to appear type this code exactly:
  • [[include:photogallery]
  • save and close and your slide show will appear

Table or chart -- add a chart to your page to put things in columns and rows

  • While in Edit mode, place your cursor where you want the table/chart to go. 
  • Click the chart icon on the tool bar (far left under the scissor)
  • Select the number of columns and rows you want
  • If you want to see the border, change the border from 0 to 2 or 3
  • Insert your table/chart into your page
  • Put your cursor in a box and start typing; each box you type in will begin to expand
